RAVAIDLI

Hi Everyone, As I told you earlier Iam always little lazy to make chapatis for dinner and breakfast so I always look into other options in making breakfast and dinner.Mostly I will always have Idli , dosa batter in hand but sometimes I will get struck without batter in such cases I will go for pasta , rava idlis , rice hoopers etc.. The main purpose of Sooji is Sooji upma but here in my home no one likes upma so other than upma I make everything with sooji right from ravaladoo , kesari , rava kozhukattai , Ravaidli   etc etc…. This ravaidli is a main dish which you can make in 25 mins , the taste is awesome when compared to upma.I   make this dish mostly for breakfast as it is so easy and easy to digest too,Also as you are adding vegges and boiling in cooker it is healthy too. Try it in home and you will also admit what I say, SERVINGS : YIELDS ABOUT 15 IDLIS INGREDIENTS : Rava / Sooji – 1 cup Thick Curd – ½ cup Salt – as required Oil – 3 tsp Carrot

GREEN PEAS CAULIFLOWER GRAVY

But still Iam trying to post as much as possible so that after shifting and settling everything I can start posting again. I don’t make rotis often as in this hot city I don’t have enough patience to stand for long time in boiling   kitchen and dripping in sweat   and make chapatis So once in a week I make chapthis or pulkas  and whenever I make chapatis I make spicy and rich sidedish. This gobi peas masala is one among them. KADAMBA / KANAVA MASALA /SQUID FISH CURRY

Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai. One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)). Then I surfed in net and found actually they are squid ( kadamba / kanava) and not octopus , My friend Saranya cooked this gravy for us during her visit to our home .I copied the recipe from her and tried next week itself.Though the squid fish looks very weird the taste was so yummy and there is no fish odor in that.It just tasted like mutton. The cleaning part is little tricky but easy, I suggest once you finished cleaning dispose the waste immediately out of your house as the waste from squid fish is very smelly and also it starts leaving water .So dispose the waste of squid as quick as possible. Other than that the fish tastes heaven , spicy, yummy and very easy to cook. I have
