Hi All, I made this coconut thuvayal along with Briyani / Nonbu kanji. This thuvayal tastes best with any dish like rice, idli, dosa, chapati and bread too. Since it is very easy recipe , I missed to take step by step pictures. Next time while making i will click step by step pictures and update you. In in order to help you while making kanji , i posted the recipe too. The main flavour of this thuvayal lies in the consistency. The thuvayal must be thick and must be little coarse.Also use fresh coconut which is best for thuvayal. Here is the simple recipe, INGREDIENTS : Coconut – 1/2 cup ( grated). Urad dal – 1 tsp Channa dal – 1 tsp Dry red chillies – 2 nos. Tamarind – 1” piece – 1 Salt – for taste Asafoetida – 1 pinch. Coconut oil – 1 tsp.
