FRESH TURKEYBERRY VATHA KUZMABU / KALYANA VATHA KUZHAMBU

Hi All, Though I have tasted many variations of vatha kuzhambu in my home town, this one is the best among all. I make this kuzhambu with fresh turkey berries but you can make it more exotic and more perfect with dried turkeyberry or dried nightshade berries(Manathakali) . In marriages they serve a vathakuzhambu which will be very different and the taste will be very unique. I have tried to replicate its taste so many times and finally nailed it with this recipe. I got this recipe from my neighbour and I loved it at first instance. Even my family who does not love the turkeyberries loved it. INSTANT RABRI WITH JAMOON / EASY RABRI

Hi All, It is mandatory to prepare Jamoon for every Diwali (Though it is not a traditional 😊 ) , When I was chatting with my whatsapp friends they told every year only we make jamoon. So this year I thought to make it little more rich. Since for this Diwali we are travelling to our home town, I don’t make any sweets here .But I wished to make something easy yet different and give it to our friends family before leaving to home. Thus ended up with Jamoon Rabri. Rabri is a most exotic dessert made with milk and patience , you need more patience and time to make traditional rabri. As my to do list was long with baking a bread, making butter, clearing my pantry and so on, I thought of following shortcut to make this yummy rabri. Try to use non stick vessel for you to easily scrap the malai forming at edges and also it prevents milk from burning at bottom. KADAMBA / KANAVA MASALA /SQUID FISH CURRY

Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai.One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)). Then I surfed in net and found actually they are squid ( kadamba / kanava) and not octopus , My friend Saranya cooked this gravy for us during her visit to our home .I copied the recipe from her and tried next week itself.Though the squid fish looks very weird the taste was so yummy and there is no fish odor in that.It just tasted like mutton. The cleaning part is little tricky but easy, I suggest once you finished cleaning dispose the waste immediately out of your house as the waste from squid fish is very smelly and also it starts leaving water .So dispose the waste of squid as quick as possible.
