Hi all, I love brinjals in any dish.. i will have brinjals with salt, garam masala ,chilli powder sauteed in little oil. But my family doesn’t like brinjals in any form.. During Arun’s childhood days , someday he got some allergy in skin and doctor suggested him to avoid brinjals for few days ( it was only for few days 😊 ) , but till date he follows the same instruction and whenever I cook brinjal he comes up with a complaint that he got some skin infection (despite he will not eat the brinjal only curry is what he eats ). Facing so many complaints about brinjal in my home still I make curry with it. Especially this ennai Kattrikai curry is always favourite . Hi All, Though I have tasted many variations of vatha kuzhambu in my home town, this one is the best among all. I make this kuzhambu with fresh turkey berries but you can make it more exotic and more perfect with dried turkeyberry or dried nightshade berries(Manathakali) . In marriages they serve a vathakuzhambu which will be very different and the taste will be very unique. I have tried to replicate its taste so many times and finally nailed it with this recipe. I got this recipe from my neighbour and I loved it at first instance. Even my family who does not love the turkeyberries loved it. We get dried turkey berry in most of the supermarkets but fresh turkey berry is very rare and uncommon, Once in a while I see fresh turkey berries in market and I will not miss to buy it. Though you can make few dishes with turkey berries, I will make tangy, spicy kuzhambu with this veg. Tangy, spicy, healthy turkey berry kuzhambu recipe is below, COOKING TIME : 45 mins. Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai.One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)).
