MANGALORE BONDA/ GOLI BAJJI

Hi All, I   saw this bonda in Chef Venkat Bhat’s program few months before , the way he explained was super tempting and I pushed me to try it then and there. It was super hit and I make it once in a while due to maida content. But iam sure it is an awesome snack to try during rainy evenings. The consistency of the perfect vada is based on your handwork, beat the batter using your hands till puffy, the batter must be puffy like air. The simple recipe is as below, Cooking Time : 30 mins. Servings : 5 members. தமிழில் காண : கிளிக்  Hi All, Betal leaf rasam! This rasam is essential during winter season to avoid cold and other flu, also betel leaves helps in digestion too. Whenever I get some betel leaves I make this rasam and it tastes yummy with hot rice and also we will take it as soup. Healthy , aromatic betel leaves rasam recipe is as below, INGREDIENTS : Betel leaves- 4 nos. Pepper- 1 tsp. Cumin- 1 tsp Coriander powder- 1 tsp. Garlic- 6 pods+ 4 pods Asafoetida- a pinch Coconut- 3 tsp Tomato- 2 nos ( medium sized). Tamarind- coin sized. Salt – as per taste Mustard- 1/4 tsp. Curry leaves- 2 tsp. HOME MADE GINGER ,BASIL TOFFEE (COUGH TABLET)

I have tasted this tablet during my childhood days in nearby petty shop.Those days I hate this toffee but sometimes I was forced by our family to eat this. Later When I started loving this toffee , petty shops reduced and this toffee also slowly disappeared :( Recently I came across a video showing home made cough tablets , I immediately remembered my childhood days and wanted to try it. But this time I added holy basil leaves too while making this toffee.The toffee was really nice and it was a great remedy for cough. PEPPER SOUP / MILAGU RASAM

Hi All, This PEPPER SOUP / MILAGU RASAM is very traditional soup which we make often in our home.During winters this rasam will be made atleast twice in a week to prevent from cold . Also I make this rasam next day after Non-veg was made for good digestion. The recipe of this powerful , spicy rasam recipe is as below, INGREDIENTS : Tamarind – gooseberry sized ball. Coconut oil / ghee – 1 tsp. Mustard – 1/4 tsp. Garlic – 5 pods. Curry leaves – few Tomato – 1 no ( big sized) Asafoetida – 1/8 tsp. Dry red chillies – 1 nos. Coriander leaves – a bunch. ATTUKAL PAYA / LAMP BONE SOUP

Hi All, Attukal Paya..Iam always tempted by this name when we were in Chennai but never got chance to try it.My neighbour use to advise me to take goat bone soup once in a week as it is very good for women's health.After so many months I tired it recently and I liked it so much , the flavour of smoked goat legs with masala gives a spicy and wonderful taste. I little hesitated how soup will go well with parota so I brought store brought parota and tried it with paya..Amazingly the soup / paya combined with parota was awesome ,a must try combination. Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai.One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)).
