This
cookies is my favorite all the time and whenever I get chance I never
miss to enjoy this bright , colorful cookies.
Here
is the easy recipe for Karachi biscuits,
Yields
: appx 30 cookies.
INGREDIENTS
:
All
purpose flour – 1 1/2 cup.
Butter
– 1/2 cup ( room temperature).
Custard
powder – 1/2 cup.
Powder
sugar – 1 cup.
Chopped
fruits and nuts , tutti fruity – 1 cup.
Baking
powder – 1 tsp.
Milk
– 5 tblsp.
METHOD
:
- Sieve flour, custard powder together well.
- Add fruits and nuts and mix.
- Whisk butter, sugar without lumps, then add milk and mix.
- Add flour little by little to wet mixture .
- Mix to form soft dough .
- Roll it to form medium size cylinder and refrigerate for 30 mins.
- Once dough is firm enough , cut them to small rounds.
- Pre-heat oven to 180”C .
- Bake the cookies to 15 mins.
- Remove from oven and let it cool down to room temperature.
- Cookies will be soft when out from oven, when cooled down it turns harder.
