Recently
my little one is showing interest in eating breads varieties. But
whenever I feed her with bread I always have a guilt of feeding her
maida. So now Iam trying to bake with wheat flour and other healthy
flours replacing maida.
She
loves Domino's Garlic bread/ sticks, so I have made this garlic bread with
maida but now I want to make it healthy so tried with Wheat flour. Believe me there is no much difference in taste and texture from
maida to wheat flour, you no need to compromise in taste due to
wheat.
May
be the texture is very slightly different from that of maida garlic
bread but it is absolutely yummy.
PREPARATION
TIME : 2 1/2 hours
COOKING
TIME : 20 mins.
SERVINGS
: 2 members.
INGREDIENTS
:
Wheat
flour- 1 cup + 3 tsp for dusting
Warm
milk- 1/2 cup.
Active
dry yeast- 1 tsp.
Sugar-
1 tsp.
Salt-
1/2 tsp.
Garlic-
2 tsp ( finely chopped).
Oregano/
pizza toppings- 1 tsp.
Butter-
3 tsp ( softened).
FOR
BREAD SPREAD :
Melted
Butter- 1/4 cup.
Garlic-
2 tsp (chopped).
Coriander
leaves- 3 tsp finely chopped.
Mozzarella cheese- 1/2 cup.
Chilli
flakes- 2 tsp.
Oregano/
pizza toppings- 2 tsp.
METHOD
:
- Sprinkle chilli flakes, pizza toppings evenly.
- Preheat oven to 180”C 20 mins.
NOTES
:
- Wheat flour can be replaced with maida too, in that case reduce the milk to 1/4 cup.
- Kneading is important for soft bread so knead for minimum 10 mins.
