WHEAT
FLOUR BHATURA! I love pooris of any variety .My sister makes pooris
amazingly and bhatura is her signature dish,but she will make bhatura
with Maida .I too make bhatura with maida and I have already posted the
recipe(here) also.
Now
I want to avoid maida so made bhatura with whole wheat flour , Wheat
bhaturas also tasted equally fantastic like maida bhaturas so you can
serve it to your family without guilt.
The
recipe is so simple and here below the recipe for your ref ,

COOKING
TIME : 4 hours

INGREDIENTS
:
Whole
wheat flour –2 cup
Curd
– 3/4 cup
Baking
soda – 1/4 tsp.
Sooji
– 1/4 cup.
Salt
– 1/2 tsp
Ghee
– 2 tsp.
Oil
– for deep frying.
METHOD
:
- In a wide bowl add flour , sooji , baking soda , salt and mix.
- Along with that add curd and mix to form crumps.
- Then add ghee , water little by little and knead to form smooth dough.
- Apply little ghee on top and cover the bowl , let the dough sit for 3 hours .
- Make small balls out of dough and flatten it using your roller and pin to thick disc.
- Heat oil in wide kadai , drop each disc and deep on both sides till puffs up ,remove from oil and drain the oil completely.
- Serve hot with chole masala or any spicy sidedish(click here for sidedish ideas) , I served with Garlic Mushroom.NOTES :
- Make small bhaturas , as smaller ones fry easily and evenly and also consumes less oil.
- Don't
make the dics very thin , little thicker gives even puff.
