PIZZA DOSA !!

Hi All,

I made this Pizza dosa for my little daughter .Last week she refused to eat her dosa and was asking for Mickey mouse! Then I got this idea of making pizza dosa so that vegs can also included in her breakfast. As I made for my daughter I did not add pizza toppings on top.Instead I drew a cartoon drawing with ketchup on the top which is loved so much..The fun part is she cried not to cut the dosa then and dont want to eat the mickey . she want the mickey to be as it is :) ..
You can sprinkle pizza toppings or chilli flakes and pepper powder on top and serve.

Here below the recipe,

SERVINGS : 2 DOSAS.

INGREDIENTS :
Dosa Batter – 3/4 cup.
Oil or Butter – for dizzling.
Carrot – 2 tsp.
Capsicum – 2 tsp.
Tomato – 2 tsp.
Onions – 2 tsp.
Morzilla cheese – 3 tsp.

PREPARATION :
  1. Grate carrot and cheese , chop rest of the vegs to very small pieces .The smaller the pieces are the quicker the vegs will boil well.
  2. Heat your iron skillet and spread some butter , take a laddle full of batter and pour it on the skillet , Dont spread the batter it should be like uttapam (thick disc) as in picture.

  3. Spread the vegs evenly over the dosa and sprinkle some oil over the sides of dosa and close the pan .Boil for 5 mins in medium flame till the dosa is boiled .

  4. Now sprinkle cheese on the top and close the skillet for 5 more mins.

  5. Done!! Now remove the dosa and sprinkle your favorite toppings and serve wit ketchup ( I didnt add toppings).

NOTES :
  1. The batter must be thick like uttapam or idli batter to get thick pizza .
  2. Dont boil in high flame , keep the flame in low or meduim for even boiling.
    3. If you have fear of dosa not boiling in middle , after adding vegs give a slight press so that vegs will stick to dosa well and when dosa is boiled at one end , gently flip it other side and cook for 2 more mins. Then turn to upper side and add cheese and boil for 1 more minute.I use to boil at both end if Iam serving for my baby to ensure everything is cooked properly :).

    HAPPY COOKING!!!

KADAMBA / KANAVA MASALA /SQUID FISH CURRY

Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai. One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)). Then I surfed in net and found actually they are squid ( kadamba / kanava) and not octopus , My friend Saranya cooked this gravy for us during her visit to our home .I copied the recipe from her and tried next week itself.Though the squid fish looks very weird the taste was so yummy and there is no fish odor in that.It just tasted like mutton. The cleaning part is little tricky but easy, I suggest once you finished cleaning dispose the waste immediately out of your house as the waste from squid fish is very smelly and also it starts leaving water .So dispose the waste of squid as quick as possible. Other than that the fish tastes heaven , spicy, yummy and very easy to cook. I have
