WHEAT PANIYARAM / GOTHUMAI PANIYARAM ( WITH DOSA BATTER)

Hi,
We all love paniyarams for its size and shape..And it is easy to eat just take a piece ,dip in chutney and eat,Very easy know!!
I make KARA PANIYARAM with dosa batter , And wheat paniyaram with leftover dosa batter.
You can make wheat paniyaram instead of Wheat dosa with a little twist which will impress your kids and even grown ups too.
The recipe is not much complicated , here below the recipe,

SERVINGS : 4 members.

INGREDIENTS :
Dosa batter – 1 cup.
Wheat flour – 2 cups.
Onion – 1 (big).
Sooji / White rava – 1/2 cup.
Carrot – 3 tsp ( grated).
Tomato – 1/2 no ( chopped).
Green chillies – 1 no ( chopped).
Coriander leaves – a bunch ( chopped).
Salt – as required.
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp.
Oil – for drizzling.



METHOD :
  1. Mix dosa batter and all other ingredients together ( except oil) with required amount of water to form thin batter consistency.
  2. Let the batter rest for half an hour .
  3. Heat paniyara tawa and drizzle few drops of oil in each hole .
  4. Pour half of the size of each hole with batter and drizzle few drops of oil on top.
  5. Keep the flame in low and boil for 4 mins till the edges turn slight golden brown.
  6. Using sharp spatula flip the paniyarams to other side and boil for 2 more mins.
  7. When inserted a tooth pick in between the paniyaram it must come clean.
  8. Now remove from flame and enjoy hot with your favorite chutney.
     

NOTES :
  1. Make sure the batter consistency must be light.
  2. Always fill the paniyaram hole only to the half as during boiling the paniyarams will puff up .
  3. Boil in low flame for even boiling , If boiled in high flame the paniyrams will turn brown at outer part and inner part will remain unboiled.
