There are so many versions for fish fry but this is the jiffy method .

When I was beginner in cooking my part in kitchen will be fish fry bcoz it is the only dish you can make it tastier only just by adding powders JJ.
FISH FRY

The recipe is as below,
INGREDIENTS :
Fish                                            –   6 pcs (Cleaned and sliced)
Chilli powder                              –   2 tsp
Chilli chicken masala                 –   1 tsp
Salt                                            –   1 tsp (as required)
Rice flour or cornflour mix         –   1 tsp.
Turmeric powder                       –   ½ tsp.
curd or lime juice                       -    1 tsp ( optional if required).

PREPARATION :

1) Wash the fish pieces well .

2) Marinate the fish with salt , chilli powder , chilli chicken powder , turmeric powder , rice flour or cornflour mix and mix well and let it rest for 3 to 4 hours ( minimum 1 hour).

3) After marinating you can keep in fridge for 1 hour or even in direct sunlight for an hour for the masala to set with the fish pieces.

4) During marinating if the fish looks very dry then you can add 1 tsp of curd or a tsp of lime juice.
5) Cornflour mix or rice mix helps the masalas to hold the fish firmly so you can either rice flour or cornflour mix , but I recommend rice flour as it works better and also gives very crispy fry.
6) After 3 to 4 hours for resting fry the fish pieces in required oil till it turns golden brown on both sides.

7) Serve hot!!

KADAMBA / KANAVA MASALA /SQUID FISH CURRY

Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai. One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)). Then I surfed in net and found actually they are squid ( kadamba / kanava) and not octopus , My friend Saranya cooked this gravy for us during her visit to our home .I copied the recipe from her and tried next week itself.Though the squid fish looks very weird the taste was so yummy and there is no fish odor in that.It just tasted like mutton. The cleaning part is little tricky but easy, I suggest once you finished cleaning dispose the waste immediately out of your house as the waste from squid fish is very smelly and also it starts leaving water .So dispose the waste of squid as quick as possible. Other than that the fish tastes heaven , spicy, yummy and very easy to cook. I have
