PANEER CHILLI
After a great welcome for veg kari dosa Iam so motivated to post further. Thank you viewers for all your support. Today my post is going to be simple paneer chilli. Actually my husband is not much fan of paneer and doesn't like it at all,so I rarely make paneer dishes in home that too only from home made paneer. I never go for brought ones as I feel they are not much softer like home mades (Will share home made paneer recipe soon). But when last week we went to a restaurant and my little girl liked panner so much so I decided to make something for her with paneer and brought a packet to home.
I made a simple roasted spices marinated panner chilli for her and she liked it so much that she finished at a single instant .. Even my husband liked and gave good feedback ( surprising!!!) .
Lets plung into recipe,
INGREDIENTS :
Paneer - appx 50 gms / 3 slices ( as shown in picture).
Cinnamon / Pattai - 1" pc.
Cloves / Krambu - 2 pc.
Fennel seeds / sombu - 1/4 tsp
Cumin / zeera - 1/4 tsp
All purpose flour / Maida - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Dry red chillies - 1 or 2
PREPARATION :
1) Slice the panner to small cubes .
2) In a pan dry roast cinnamon , Cloves , fennel seeds , cumin till they turns to light brown and nice aroma comes from the spices , switch off and grind them to coarse powder.
3) Marinate the panner cubes with spices powder , maida , salt and mix well and let It rest for 10 mins.
4) In a kadai add oil for frying and when oil gets enough heated add the marinated paneer and fry till brown , Drain the oil and serve hot
5) Crunchy outside and soft inside panner chilli ready to serve.
NOTES :
1) Pls grind the spices to coarse so that you will get the crunchy taste and aroma of the roasted spices while biting.
2) Roasting will enhance the aroma and taste of spices so don't skip this step.
3) You can 1/4 tsp of chilli powder if you want the bright red colour.
HAPPY COOKING!!!
