You can prepare it with eggs and also without eggs both the methods will tastes Yummy!! This is actually my sisters signature dish its she who helped me to take pictures thanks to Sharmila Senthil!!
Lets move to the recipe :

Tomatoes - 7 nos (medium sized )
Onion - 1 nos (big).
Green chilles - 2 nos.
Curry leaves - a sprig
Coriander leaves - one handful.
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Egg - 3 (optional)
Oil - 1 tsp
Salt - As required
TO BE GRINDED TO FINE PASTE :
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup.
Ginger - 1 cm
Garlic - 4 to 5 pods.
Poppy seeds - 3/4 tsp.
METHOD :
1) Grind the grinding ingredients to fine paste.
2) Chop the tomatoes and onion , slit the green chilles.
3) In a pan add oil ,once oil gets hot sprinkle some mustard followed by green chillies and curry leaves.
4) When green chilles turns its colour add onions and sauté till onions turns translucent.
5) Then add tomatoes and fry till it becomes mushy.
6) Empty the ground masala to the pan along with 1/2 cup of water and let it boil till the raw smell
of ginger goes.
7) when your curry is in little watery stage crack open the eggs and pour into the gravy (as after adding eggs the gravy will become thicker) and leave it undisturbed for a minute until the eggs starts thickening and then with a ladle mix it up very gently once or twice to scramble the eggs and boil for 3 mins till the eggs are boiled (eggs will turn like our scrambled eggs) and switch off.
8) Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with idlies , dosa and chapatis , rotis too.
NOTE :
1) You can even the skip the egg part and switch off when the ground paste is added and boiled till the required consistency.
2) After adding eggs let the gravy boil for a minute undisturbed if you mix it up soon after adding eggs then the entire gravy will give you egg smell and surely we will not like it :((
Try it and let me know how it turns to you!!
Eagerly waiting for your feedback.
Enjoy and happy cooking.
