BABY FOODS 1OTH MONTH TO 1 YEAR

BABY AND TODDLER FOODS !!
Many viewers ask me about Baby and toddlers foods.But as already my daughter is 3 years old Iam not making those baby foods now.I have noted all the foods and recipes which I gave her during early stage ,so I will post the recipes and details.As of now I will post only the recipes , if time permits I will make and take pictures and post.Hope this may help new mommies :))

The details are as below,


MONTH 10 :
This month is got her taste buds perfect and she starting starring at us when we were eating .So I introduced more foods to her.
FIRST WEEK : Dals and Rice.
  1. Her favorite foods is Dal rice . The recipe is as below,
    INGREDIENTS :
    Rice – 4 tsp.
    Toor dal - 1 tsp.
    Pepper – 1 no.
    Cumin – a pinch.
    Salt – a pinch.
    Curry leaves – 1 no.
    Turmeric powder – a pinch.
    Garlic – 1 no. 
    Pearl onion – 1 no.
    Carrot or Potato or any vegs of your choice – 1 no ( you can add green leaves too but add a little just 10 leaves).
    Coconut oil or ghee - 1 tsp.
RECIPE :
  1. Wash rice and dal well with water and grind it to coarse grids.
  2. In your cooker add crushed rice , dals , rest of the above ingredients ,water and boil for 10 whistles.
  3. When pressure subsides ,add ghee or coconut oil , mash well using ladle and feed your kids.

SECOND WEEK :BANANA.
  1. During 10th month she started biting and chewing so I started to feed her with Banana without mashing.
  2. Chop banana to small pieces and fed her. You can mash it to puree and feed your kids.

As already her food schedule was full , i didn't add any new foods this month.

FOOD SCHEDULE :
8 am : Mother's milk.
8.45 am : idli or dosa.
11 am : fruits.
11.45 am : Cerelac.
12 pm to 1.30 pm : nap time.
1.30 pm : dal rice or ragi poridge ( I fed her with ragi and dal rice in alternative days).
3 pm : mothers milk.
3.30 pm to 5.30 pm : nap time.
5.30 pm : biscuts.
7 pm : Idli or dosa.
After 7 pm no solid foods , only cow milk or formula milk. Before sleeping I feed her with Mother's milk.

ONE YEAR :
  1. After her first birthday I introduced her boiled Egg during first week.
  2. After one month I introduced her spinash puree , boil spinash with enough water ,add salt and little asafoetida and fed her.
  3. Then her teeth starting showing , so I slowly started fed her with our normal foods.
  4. After 1year two months , we started with non-veg too.
  5. After 1 1/2 year , I started her with protein powder the recipe is as below,
    INGREDIENTS :
    Almonds – 1/4 cup.
    Cashew – 1/8 cup.
    Groundnut – 1/8 cup.
    Cane Sugar – 1/4 cup.
    Roasted channa dal – 1/8 cup.
    Pista – 1/4 cup.

Dry roast everything and grind to fine powder . Add a tsp of health powder to hot milk , mix well and filter .Feed that milk to baby once or twice a day.

NOTES :
  1. Always sterilize the vessels and spoons which you are using for kids.
  2. Boil water in a wide vessel and add all the baby vessels in boiling water for 2 mins , switch off the flame and let it be for 5 more mins.
  3. Then remove from water and used it for baby feeding.
  4. Whenever you introduce a new food to baby , first feed them with 1 or 2 tsps and wait for a day to check allergy or rashes or continuous crying.If so then stop that food immediately and try after 1 month.
  5. Mother's milk is always best for babies so feed your kid with mother's milk as much as possible and as many times as needed.
  6. Once you start giving cow milk stop feeding formula milk.
  7. Always feed fruits only during day time ( around 12 pm).

Don't knead dough too dry , make slightly sticky dough so that while toasting it comes to perfect softness. The recipe of perfect soft chapati is below, COOKING TIME : 1 hour. SERVES : yields about 10 chapatis INGREDIENTS : Wheat flour – 2 cups. Salt – 1/2 tsp. Warm water – 1 cup ( appx). Oil / ghee – few drops. METHOD : In a wide bowl add wheat flour ,salt and mix , make a well in middle of flou
