BABY FOODS - 9TH MONTH

Hi All,

BABY AND TODDLER FOODS !!
Many viewers ask me about Baby and toddlers foods.But as already my daughter is 3 years old Iam not making those baby foods now.I have noted all the foods and recipes which I gave her during early stage ,so I will post the recipes and details.As of now I will post only the recipes , if time permits I will make and take pictures and post.Hope this may help new mommies :))

The details are as below,

MONTH 9 :
FIRST WEEK : POMEGRANATE JUICE.
  1. Stated this month with fruit juices , I started with Pomegranate juice . Grind pomegranate without water , strain the juice alone and feed your baby around 11 am.
SECOND WEEK : BISCUIT.
    1. Biscuit is one thing she ate with so much excitement ( due to its sweet taste) .I gave her Britania Milk bikies.Two biscuits soaked in milk , mixed to fine liquidity paste and fed her.
THIRD WEEK : DOSA.
  1. Third week after much hesitation I started with Dosa ,that too oil less dosa.
  2. Heat your iron skillet and add just 2 drops of ghee ( not more) and spread it evenly.
  3. Now pour a ladle full of dosa batter to form thick circle .Don't add oil now, just close the skillet and cook for 3 mins until the dosa is boiled.
  4. Now flip the dosa and boil for 2 more mins and remove from flame.
  5. The dosas must be soft and oil less , no crispy or oily dosa is preferred.
  6. Dip dosa in milk and feed baby or you can mash it with hands, add milk and feed.

FOURTH WEEK : SAPOTA AND CUCUMBER.
  1. I introduced her sapota / chikku and cucumber this week.
  2. Peel skin of chikku , remove the seeds and fed her as it is . I did no mashing or puree here.AS he was little grown and learnt to bite so I fed her as it is.
  3. After 2 days from introducing chikku I fed her with very tiny pieces of cucumber ( as then it was very sunny I fed her with cucumber too).
  4. Peeled the skin and removed thick part of cucumber and fed her only with center soft and juicy part.

FOOD SCHEDULE :
8 am : Mother's milk.
8.30 am : Idli or dosa.
11 am : Fruits (pomegranate juice or sapota or cucumber or apple or carrot).
11.30 am : cerelac.
12.00 pm to 2 pm : nap time.
2 pm : ragi or rice.
3 pm : mothers milk.
3.30 pm to 5 pm : Nap time.
5 pm : mother's milk.
6 pm :Biscuit.
7 pm : idli or dosa.
After 7 pm , no solid foods . I fed her only with Mother's milk , Cow milk or formula milk.

NOTES :
  1. Always sterilize the vessels and spoons which you are using for kids.
  2. Boil water in a wide vessel and add all the baby vessels in boiling water for 2 mins , switch off the flame and let it be for 5 more mins.
  3. Then remove from water and used it for baby feeding.
  4. Whenever you introduce a new food to baby , first feed them with 1 or 2 tsps and wait for a day to check allergy or rashes or continuous crying.If so then stop that food immediately and try after 1 month.
  5. Mother's milk is always best for babies so feed your kid with mother's milk as much as possible and as many times as needed.
  6. Once you start giving cow milk stop feeding formula milk.
    7.Always feed the fruits only during day time (around 12 pm).

WARM WATER CHAPATI / BEGINNER GUIDE FOR SOFT CHAPATI

When I was learning cooking my chapatis will be either crisp like disc or rubbery that you need to dentist after chewing😭 So I try so many versions to make my chapati perfect and this warm water method is one success method , This method is so easy that your chapatis will be very very soft and light. A few tricks to make your chapatis perfectly soft and puffy are , Add water little by little while kneading . Don't knead dough too dry , make slightly sticky dough so that while toasting it comes to perfect softness. The recipe of perfect soft chapati is below, COOKING TIME : 1 hour. SERVES : yields about 10 chapatis INGREDIENTS : Wheat flour – 2 cups. Salt – 1/2 tsp. Warm water – 1 cup ( appx). Oil / ghee – few drops. METHOD : In a wide bowl add wheat flour ,salt and mix , make a well in middle of flou
