SPICY CRANBERRY JAM ROLLS AND BALLS

Hi All,

When I first tasted cranberries immediately I got this spicy combination in my mind.when we were kids we use to taste tangy fruits with salt and pepper.So I made this spicy,tangy jam with cranberries.I made bread rolls and bread paniyarams with the same.
The recipe is as below,

INGREDIENTS :
Cranberries – 1/4 cup.
Onion – 1 no.
Oil – 1 tsp.
Salt – as required.
Chilli powder – 1 tsp.
Water – 4 tsp.
Bread slices – 2 nos.

METHOD :
JAM:
  1. Chop onion to small pieces.
  2. In a wide kadai heat oil , followed by onion and fry till dark brown.
  3. Then add chopped cranberries , chilli powder, salt and fry for a minute.
  4.  Then add water and boil till the mixture forms thick jam.
    BREAD ROLL:
  1. Take a bread slice and using your roller , roll it flat.
  2. Take a spoonful of cranberry jam and place it on one side of bread slice and roll it to tight roll.
  3. Heat tawa and spread two drops of ghee , place the bread roll over the tawa and fry it till golden brown , keep turning the roll for even frying.
  4. Remove from flame and drizzle some honey and enjoy.
BREAD CRANBERRY PANIYARAM / BALLS :
  1. Take a slice of bread and sprinkle few drop of milk over the bread.
  2. Then roll the bread to medium sized ball and place the jam in centre of bread and close the ball.
  3. Heat paniyaram pan and spread few drops of oil and place the balls gently.
  4. Boil in medium flame till the balls turn brown , flip to next side and boil for few more mins.
  5. Remove from flame and enjoy hot.
