I
want to include flaxseeds in our regular diet but pretty confused how
to include.For my daughter I made health drink out of it but for rest
of family?! So I got an idea of adding it in dosa ( our family's
favorite dinner ) .Then came out this Flax seeds , Ragi dosa(Finger
millet powder).
The
recipe is so simple and here below for you ,
INGREDIETNS
:
FOR
DOSA BATTER :
Rice
– 5 cups.
Urad
dal – 1 cup.
Fenugreek
– 4 tsp.
Salt
– as required.
FOR
RAGI ,FLAX SEEDS DOSA :
Dosa
batter – 2 cups.
Ragi
powder/Finger Millet powder – 1 cup.
Flax
seeds powder – 1/4 cup.
PREPARATION
:
- Wash rice and urad dal in water and soak them in water along with fenugreek for 2 hours.Then grind them to fine batter using your food processor.Add salt and mix well.Grind flaxseedsd to fine powder.
- Take 2 cups of batter separately and add ragi flour , flax seeds powder and mix well , add water if the batter looks too thick.Let the batter ferment for 5 hours.
- After 5 hours , heat your iron skillet and drizzle some oil .Take a ladle full of batter and spread it to thin circle over the hot iron skillet , drizzle 2 drops of oil over the dosa.
- Keep the flame in low and let the dosa boil for 3 mins.
- When dosa turns to light brown flip it to next side and boil for 1 more minute.
- Remove from flame and serve hot with your favorite sidedish.HAPPY COOKING!!
