Hi,
When
comes to an contest we all will come to know what our capability is!
Contests helps us to think beyond our limits :) So it is always good
in participating contests ,winning and not winning is secondary. When
Italian concept is announced by ButterBetter I first thought of not
participating and at last minute I suddenly thought of this idea and
gave a try.The lasagna was so yummy and it served our whole family
for breakfast. The recipe of such filling dish is below.
INGREDIENTS
:
Minced
chicken – 200 gms.
Pizza
sauce or Spaghetti sauce – 7 tablespoon.
Mozzarella
cheese – 100 gms.
Eggs
– 2 numbers.
Dried
parsley or any topping of your choice – 1/2 teaspoon.
Salt
– as required.
Pepper
– 2 teaspoon.
Pasta
– 1 cup.
Water
– 1/4 cup.
Paneer
– 100 gms.
Sweet
potato – 5 slices.
METHOD
:
- In a pan add minced chicken and fry in medium flame till it changes to brown colour and moisture evaporates completely.
- Now add pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce ,salt , 1/2 tsp pepper to chicken and cook in low flame for 5 minutes. When chicken and sauce blends with each other well ,remove from flame and keep it aside till use.
- In a bowl add grated cheese , grated paneer , eggs , toppings , salt , pepper and mix well.
- Pre-heat your oven to 170”C for 35 mins.
- In your baking tray spread one layer of chicken mixture , then followed by a layer of pasta , then with cheese mixture .
- Again repeat the layering first with chicken mixture , then with pasta and then with cheese mixture . Repeat the process till the tray is filled.
- Finally place the sliced sweet potato on the top and sprinkle some toppings ,pour the water along the edges of the tray and bake in pre-heated oven for 35 mins.
- After 35 mins of baking or when the potatoes edges shrinks ,remove from flame and serve hot.
NOTES
:
- Adding sweet potato is optional , the lasagna will taste great even without potatoes.
- Don't pour the water in the middle of the mixture always pour along the edges , this helps in avoiding burnt edges and also prevents lasagna from turning mushy.
- You can replace pasta with lasagna noodles or your favorite noodles or macaroni.HAPPY COOKING!!!
