Egg
Vegs Dosa..I had this type of dosa when we were in Chennai in a local
restaurant . But they added chicken to the egg mixture and served as
Chicken dosa , the taste was so yummy that I immediately opened the
dosa and started investigating what they have added in the egg
mixture ( with my family sitting beside and starring me :)) .
After
coming home I tried it with vegs and it was good too .Will try with
chicken and post the recipe later.
The
recipe is simple that you can make it in minutes and serve for a
surprise party.
The
recipe is as below,
INGREDIENTS
:
Dosa
batter – 1 cup.
Egg
- 1no.
Green
chillies – 1 no ( small).
Onions
– 1 tsp.
Coriander
leaves – 1/2 tsp.
Curry
leaves – 1/2 tsp.
Carrot
( grated ) - 1 tsp ( optional).
Salt
– 1/8 tsp.
Pepper
– 1/4 tsp.
Onion
grass – 1 tsp
Oil
– 2 tsp.
PREPARATION
:
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a small kadai and add green chillies , when chillies fried to pale colour add onions , curry leaves and saute till golden brown . Then add carrot and saute in medium flame till carrot changes to pale colour and raw smell leaves.Switch off the flame.
- Crack open a egg in a bowl and add pepper powder , salt and beat well till foamy.
- Now add chopped coriander leaves , chopped onion grass , fried ingredients and mix well.
- Heat iron skillet and spread 2 drops of oil evenly , pour a ladle full of dosa batter over the hot skillet and spread as thin as possible.Keep the flame low.
- Now using a spoon take the egg mixture and spread over boiling dosa as even thin layer.
- Sprinkle some pepper over the top , drizzle few drops of oil and cover the skillet and boil in medium flame for few mins till the edges turn light brown.
- Now using your spatula flip the dosa to next side and boil for few more mins.
- Remove from flame and serve hot with your favorite sidedish.
- We never needed sidedish for this dosa we will eat as it is.
NOTES
:
- You can grate and add your favorite vegs , like beetroot , capsicum ,radish etc.
